A Catholic Study of the Book of Revelation

In this 6 lesson seminar, Karlo provides the key to unlock the mystery of the Book of Revelation in which one discovers a prophetic vision of the destruction of Jerusalem by the Roman army in 70 A.D. With such a literal historical interpretation as a foundation, Karlo explains the anagogical and moral senses as well.
Bible

A Walk with the Messiah

In this seven session bible seminar, Karlo traces the footprints of the Messiah's public life and examines the meaning of the various words and deeds as performed by the Savior. Karlo demonstrates that one cannot feel the impact of the public ministry of Jesus of Nazareth unless one takes into account the historical Jewish context. This seminar will prove that every word and deed that Jesus performed in His public ministry was intricately woven into the fulfillment of the eternal plan of the Father to send His "anointed," i.e., Messiah, to save Israel and re-unite the human family in covenantal relationship with God. The theological insights that Karlo unpacks throughout Christ's public life are powerful enough to set the heart a fire with love for Christ and the Father.

Available in Parish Office for checkout by parishioners.  (1 week)

Flavio Insinna gives a winning performance as John (Don) Bosco, the great priest and educator of youth from the tough streets of Turin, Italy. Beautifully filmed in Italy, this epic movie dramatizes the many challenges that Don Bosco had to overcome from his childhood through founding his religious order, the Salesians, for helping educate boys. Growing up without a father gave him compassion for the many orphans that he cared for, while he faced persecution from both secular society and the Church as he fought to build a place to house and educate the homeless, outcast youth of Turin. His deep faith, creative imagination and profound charity shine through in this wonderful film. Also stars Charles Dance (Gosford Park) and popular Italian singer and actress Lina Sastri.

A Case for God's Existence

In this seminar, Karlo will provide the tools necessary to preserve the gift of faith in spite of the onslaught of the atheistic society that we live in. Drawing heavily off of the philosophical tradition of the Church and physics, Mr. Broussard will prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that God exists and how such a position is the only reasonable worldview to make sense out of our human experiences.
